UN-Water will host an event co-organized by UN University (UNU) and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on 'The Water-Energy Nexus' serving as the official UN celebration of World Water Day, which is celebrated on 22 March. The meeting will include a journalists workshop, an Asia Pacific Regional Symposium, remarks by high-level officials, presentation of the Water for Life Awards, launch of the World Water Development Report (WWDR) on the theme water and energy, a high-level policy panel on addressing the water-energy nexus within the context of the post-2015 development agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an expert dialogue between research and industry, and the announcement of the Stockholm Water Prize by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).
