This international conference on the world ocean margins is organized by the Ocean Margin Deep-Water Research Consortium and co-sponsored by the European Commission, the IOC and the UNESCO’s Division of Earth Sciences. This conference is aimed to increase knowledge on the functioning of ocean margin systems. It will also promote the wise use of the seafloor and sub seafloor of the Earth’s ocean margin system as a source of natural marine resources.
