This meeting follows up on UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura’s announcement made at the 3rd World Water Forum to create a Water Cooperation Facility, which would be an alliance of institutions already active in the management of shared water resources that would collectively provide distinct and complementary services to aid transboundary water governance. This event is organized by UNESCO and the World Water Council for all institutions interested in joining the initiative as Facility Partners.
