The UN Industrial Development Organization will launch its annual Industrial Development Report (IDR) for 2013, on 3 March 2014, in New York, US. The report, titled 'Sustaining Employment Growth: The Role of Manufacturing and Structural Change' was published in late 2013, and discusses whether industrialization and structural change are indeed indispensable for sustained job creation and sustainable development. The launch is co-organized by UNIDO and the Permanent Missions of Italy and Viet Nam.
