The Government of Chile will host regional consultations on current international chemicals management issues in Viña del Mar, Chile. The SAICM consultations will take place on Friday, 19 December, and will provide an opportunity for the region to continue its preparations for the second session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management, will convene in May 2009. Also on the agenda will be sharing of experience with SAICM implementation in Mexico, whose Government is providing financial support for the meeting in collaboration with the Government of the UK.
