This joint meeting of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)-Programme for Monitoring the Illegal Killing of Elephants (MIKE) is one of a series of meeting focusing on Elephants in Niger in June. It is preceded by the second Meeting of the CMS West African Elephant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and followed by the MIKE Steering Committee meeting.
