This symposium is supported by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the North Pacific Marine Sciences Organization (PICES). Participants will: discuss techniques for investigating the impacts of climate change on populations of fish and shellfish in capture and cultured fisheries; examine observational, analytical and modelling approaches; identify analytical techniques for forecasting climate change impacts on marine fish and shellfish populations; and discuss policies and strategies for society and users of marine resources to consider in the face of a changing climate and altered marine ecosystems.
