This Congress will include a session on “Adapting Coastal Zone and Marine Recourses to Climate Change.” The Congress is organized by the University of Copenhagen in cooperation with the partners in the International Alliance of Research Universities. It is part of the run-up to the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2009, and as such its main aim is to provide a synthesis of existing and emerging scientific knowledge necessary in order to make decisions concerning the application of mitigation and adaptation strategies in response to climate change.
