The objectives of this conference include to: disseminate experiences from European (as well as non-European) case studies and share the most promising applied research solutions for integrated River Restoration projects/interventions; promote the new concepts of the European legislation in the field of water management; and communicate to policy and decision makers that river restoration offers many key benefits and can play a role in the implementation of important directives, first of all the European Water Framework Directive, and in facing flood and landslide risks.
