The Annual Seminar and International Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings of WavEC – Offshore Renewables will be organized from 9-10 October 2014, in collaboration with the US Embassy and American Chamber of Commerce in Portugal, and under the patronage of the President of Portugal. The seminar, on 9 October, will include panel sessions on: challenges and solutions to harnessing marine energy; logistical requirements for marine energy development; partnering with the private sector and co‐financing; and US-Portugal technical cooperation. The B2B meetings, on 10 October, are expected to bring together around 200 companies, clusters, research institutions and funding stakeholders from Europe and the US. Topics of the networking event will include offshore wind power, tidal and wave energy, marine biomass, ocean thermal energy conversion, logistics and funding.
