The Convention on Biological Diversity’s (CBD) Plan of Action on Sub-National Governments, Cities and Other Local Authorities for Biodiversity 2011-2020 is intended to support parties and local authorities in implementing the CBD Strategic Plan 2011-2020, its targets and relevant decisions of the Conference of the Parties (COP). It has been developed through a four-year consultation process, finalized at the City Biodiversity Summit, held from 24-26 October 2010, in Nagoya, Japan, and adopted by CBD COP 10.
