The 8th session of the Fishery Resources Monitoring System (FIRMS) Steering Committee Meeting will take place from 4-5 and 8 February 2013. FIRMS is a global monitoring system that provides access to a wide range of information on the status and trends of marine fishery resources including their management. It draws together a unified partnership of international organizations, regional fishery bodies and, in the future, national scientific institutes, collaborating within formal agreement to report and share information on fisheries resources.
