The Symposium will address the following themes: how have people managed fresh water throughout the millennia?; what remains today of the flourishing heritage of the past? How can we address the challenge of fresh water scarcity in the future? The event will also feature the presentation of two awards: the RIMM Award for the best initiative in fair and sustainable water management; and the GRECO Award to one of the 100 Mediterranean companies selected for their innovative initiatives in the use of environmentally efficient techniques.
