Conexão Oceano: Engaging Society to Preserve the Ocean

This event titled, 'Engaging society to preserve the ocean: An unprecedented event for the media and digital influencers in Brazil,' will focus on the relationship between the ocean and society, and on how communications can engage people to understand this connection and protect marine ecosystems. It is the first communications-oriented event of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development in Brazil. The workshop will be open to the public and free.

Aimed at communicators, influencers, academics, researchers and society at large, the event aims to raise awareness and engage citizens about the importance of the seas, in the context of the upcoming decade, 2021 to 2030, which has been declared by the United Nations (UN) as the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, or simply the Ocean Decade.
