The 37th Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM) will convene in Brasilia, Brazil, from 28 April -7 May 2014. Agenda items include: operation of the Antarctic Treaty System (reports by Parties, Observers and Experts; general matters; matters related to the Secretariat; multi-year strategic work plan; report of the Committee for Environmental Protection; liability; safety and operations in Antarctica; tourism and non-governmental activities; inspections under the Antarctic Treaty and the Environment Protocol; science issues, scientific cooperation and facilitation; implications of climate change for management of the Antarctic Treaty Area; education issues; exchange of Information; and biological prospecting in Antarctica.
