The Arctic Circle Assembly is the largest gathering on Arctic affairs. It focuses on the future of the Arctic and our planet. The 2024 Assembly is expected to bring together more than 2,000 participants from over 60 countries to address a range of topics, from science to governance and security.

The annual Arctic Circle Assembly convenes every October. It brings together governments, the private sector, civil society, academia, and other stakeholders to foster international engagement, cooperation, and celebration of the Arctic. The 2024 Assembly will launch the Arctic Circle Business Forum, a new initiative.

Sessions will address a number of topics, including: the future of polar science diplomacy; the role of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the Arctic; Arctic Indigenous youth leadership; sustainable energy; Arctic climatic changes; illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the Arctic; preservation of the Arctic; resilient food systems in a changing Arctic; and collaborative research and education. Countries will also present their perspectives and strategies on the Arctic.
