The Committee for Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture of Africa (CIFAA) of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will consider, inter alia: follow-up actions to the 15th Session of the CIFAA; abolition of the CIFAA Sub-Committee for Lake Tanganyika; practical regional concerns involving the development and distribution of improved aquaculture seed; challenges to improved aquaculture governance for national and regional programmes; issues related to a CIFAA Strategy in Inland Fisheries of Africa; and climate change effects and adoption of strategies for inland fisheries and aquaculture in Africa.
