6 September 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published clarifications to “frequently asked questions” (FAQs) about the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI).
These FAQ lists are offered by the Secretariat as a convenience to members of the public wishing to learn more about the CDM and JI. The lists explain issues such as the meaning of the CDM and JI, their modalities and procedures, as well as issues relating to their operation in the post-2010 period. The two lists also address post-2012 issues. The answers provided are not intended to replace or affect the official modalities and procedures, and the related official documents and decisions pertaining to the CDM and JI.
