The research agenda of the CGIAR Challenge Program on Water and Food will be launched at this scientific conference that is expected to convene several hundred scientists with development stakeholders. Key issues to be discussed include increasing water productivity in agriculture and the impacts on poverty alleviation and on food, health and environmental security in the programme’s benchmark basins. The Conference will result in action-oriented recommendations on how to implement the CGIAR Challenge Program to achieve the highest impact.
