31 March 2009: The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has published the revised Annex VI to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) containing the Regulations for the Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships, and the revised nitrogen oxides (Nox) Technical Code 2008, which were adopted by IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee in October 2008, with an entry into force date of 1 July 2010.
