UNFCCC Releases Submissions on GHGs from Coastal and Marine Ecosystems

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released one joint submission, and one from Japan, containing their views on specific themes to be addressed at the research dialogue, including information on technical and scientific aspects of emissions and removals of all greenhouse gases (GHGs) from coastal and marine ecosystems.

The submissions will be considered by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at its 36th session.

18 April 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released two submissions from parties containing their views on specific themes to be addressed at the research dialogue, including information on technical and scientific aspects of emissions and removals of all greenhouse gases (GHGs) from coastal and marine ecosystems (FCCC/SBSTA/2012/MISC.2/Add.1).

The two submissions are in addition to the five contained in document FCCC/SBSTA/2012/MISC.2. The UNFCCC Secretariat has released one joint submission from Bangladesh, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Gabon, Ghana, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Suriname and Uganda; as well as one submission from Japan.

The submissions will be considered by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at its 36th session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 14-25 May 2012. [The Submissions]
