July 2011: WWF International the African Development Bank (AfDB) have agreed to develop partnerships in and enhance synergies for promoting green economy and sustainable development in Africa.

This partnership is also expected to provide a platform for other collaborative arrangements, on topics such as the Congo River Basin, trans-boundary water management and the East Africa Region, particularly in the run-up to UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
