May 2014: WorldFish has released a factsheet on the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). The factsheet describes the challenges climate change poses to agriculture and food security and how the CCAFS Program works to address interactions, synergies and trade-offs among climate change, agriculture and food security through four themes.

The CCAFS Research Program aims to promote food security through sustainable agriculture and to explore ways to support vulnerable communities to adapt to global climate change while conserving natural resources. Its four global themes are: adaptation to progressive climate change; adaptation through managing climate risk; pro-poor climate change mitigation; and integration for decision making. This work features analysis to ensure the inclusion of climate issues in agricultural policies and the inclusion of agriculture in climate policies, with the wider aim of benefiting the rural poor.
