World Habitat Award Invites Entries for 2013 Competition

The Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF) is accepting entries for the 2013 edition of the World Habitat Awards.

Two awards are given annually each year to a project from the global North and from the global South that showcase innovative and sustainable solutions to housing challenges around the world.

21 September 2012: The Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF) has announced that it is accepting entries for the 2013 World Habitat Awards. BSHF established the World Habitat Awards in 1985, as part of its contribution to the UN International Year of Shelter for the Homeless. The awards recognize innovative and sustainable solutions to key housing challenges around the world.

BSHF, an independent research organization, presents two awards annually to projects from the global North and the global South. A panel of international judges will assess the entries, and the two winning projects will receive an award of £10,000 at the annual World Habitat Day celebration.
