© World Bank13 May 2009: The World Bank has organized a “South-South CDM Knowledge Exchange Program” in China, with the objective of expanding the capacity of developing countries in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and providing a platform for South-South experience-sharing on key challenges concerning CDM implementation.

The event, which is being held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, from 11-17 May 2009, has gathered project developers and government officials from 25 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, East and Central Asia, and the Middle East. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the strategies, policies and institutional measures adopted by the Government of China to promote and encourage CDM, and gain first-hand knowledge from Chinese practitioners and project developers on best practices for, and lessons learned from, CDM project implementation.
