September 2011: The World Bank Institute is offering an e-learning course on challenges and opportunities created by the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Programme of Activities (PoAs) instrument.
Programmatic CDM is an instrument that aids funding and structuring umbrella programmes to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in developing countries. The course will help participants understand the opportunities and challenges of the Programmatic CDM and illustrate how Programmatic CDM can be used as a tool for catalyzing low carbon development. The course will be delivered in three modules from 7-18 November 2011, and takes about eight hours to complete. [World Bank Institute Announcement]
