The World Bank and the Global Water Partnership Central Asia and Caucasus (GWP CACENA) held a planning session for the “Strengthening Model Capacity Training Program,” which aims to provide training to water managers in Central Asia.

wb-gwp29 October 2014: The World Bank and the Global Water Partnership Central Asia and Caucasus (GWP CACENA) held a planning session for the ‘Strengthening Model Capacity Training Program,’ which aims to provide training to water managers in Central Asia.

The meeting, which took place from 15-17 October 2014, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, brought together participants from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as consultants familiar with the AralDIF, ASBmm and BEAM models. The participants were invited to assist in the development of the curriculum for the capacity-building training programme. The outcome of the meeting including the draft training curriculum and a plan for a pilot training, which is expected to take place in January 2015. [GWP Press Release]
