World Bank Group Energy Week 2009
February 2009: The World Bank will hold its Energy Week 2009 from 31 March-2 April 2009, at its headquarters in Washington DC, US. The event will gather policy-makers and practitioners engaged in energy and development. It will comprise a three-day executive conference where energy challenges facing today’s world will be analyzed, including topics such as: energy innovations for clean transport; securing a climate sensitive energy supply; integrating wind energy development; and scaling up energy efficiency for climate change mitigation.

The Energy Week 2009 programme will comprise nine plenary and 12 parallel sessions. An exhibition of World Bank Group programmes, projects and activities will be held alongside the Energy Week events.
