20 October 2009: The Inter-sessional Working Group on the Future Shape of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) met from 19-20 October 2009, in Bonn, Germany, to review the first draft of a report dealing with the current organization of the CMS and its family of agreements.

Significant headway was made in refining the text of the report, prior to its submission to the CMS Standing Committee. The Working Group also started planning the next two stages of the process on the future shape, which is expected to culminate in the submission of three options to the next COP, due to convene in 2011.
