May 2015: The Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF) announced the call for nominations for the 2015 Wangari Maathai Award, which recognizes exceptional achievements from an individual who has improved forests and the lives of the people that rely on them. Nominations are due by 29 May 2015.

Members of the CPF created the award in 2012. The winner will receive a prize of US$20,000 at an award ceremony to be held at the World Forestry Congress 2015. [Website: Wangari Maathai Forest Champions Award]
