UNITAR Offers Online Course on International Water Law

The UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the University of Geneva are jointly offering a four-week course on international water law that will provide professionals working in freshwater treaty negotiation or implementation with advanced knowledge of the principles and norms that govern the use, sharing, management and protection of freshwater resources.

16 October 2012: The UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the University of Geneva are jointly offering a four-week online course on international water law.

The course is designed for professionals working in freshwater treaty negotiation or implementation, and will require the applications of concepts and knowledge to case studies. The course aims to provide students with advanced knowledge of the principles and norms that govern the use, sharing, management and protection of freshwater resources.

Enrollment is open to individuals aged between 25 and 45 years who have a background in law, political science, economics or international relations, or relevant work experience in freshwater resources management.
