18 September 2012: The UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have entered into an agreement to strengthen their cooperation to enhance technical support to Member States.
Under the “Practical Arrangement” signed by the two organizations, the IAEA and UNIDO will work together to provide support in specific areas, including the field of cleaner industrial production. The organizations will use each other’s networks and UNIDO’s National Cleaner Production Centres in different countries to share information on the technical advantages of applying nuclear techniques in cleaner industrial production processes.
