The report focuses on the adaptation actions and type of support required to ensure children are able to survive and adapt to climate change threats. For instance, the report notes that with less predictable weather patterns, children and communities will need to learn how to cope by developing the skills and infrastructure needed to protect their livelihoods, including protection of basic rights such as clean water, food and a chance to go to school. The report underscores the need to involve children in climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction (DRR) programmes, with a view to equiping future generations with the knowledge to adequately live in a world of changing climate.
