21 May 2009: The UN General Assembly (UNGA) President has released an interim draft of the Report of the Commission of Experts of the President of the UNGA on Reforms of the International Monetary and Financial System.

This draft will serve as a reference for the preparations for the UN Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development, scheduled to take place from 1-3 June 2009.
The report addresses the challenges ahead and the need for new global economic governance, and contains a section detailing the creation of a pro-development climate architecture. It stresses the importance for climate-related tasks in developing countries to be considered as an integral part of a sustainable development agenda and that all partners act accordingly.
