January 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the revised “Assembly Document,” containing the ideas and proposals presented by parties and accredited observer organizations on the elements contained in paragraph 1 of the Bali Action Plan (BAP), received by 6 December 2008.

The Assembly Document consists of five chapters on the five elements of the BAP, namely on: a shared vision for long-term cooperative action; enhanced national/international action on mitigation of climate change; enhanced action on adaptation; enhanced action on technology development and transfer to support action on mitigation and adaptation; and enhanced action on the provision of financial resources and investment to support action on mitigation and adaptation and technology cooperation.
