© UNFCCC18 May 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released its second newsletter of the year.

The publication focuses on the negotiating texts that will be on the table during the upcoming climate change talks in June.
This edition contains interviews with John Ashe, Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Countries under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP), and Michael Zammit Cutajar, Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA), who both share their views on what remains to be done to reach a successful outcome in Copenhagen. An overview of developments since the March climate talks is also provided under the relevant sections on mitigation, adaptation, finance and technology. The guest columnist, Changhua Wu, Greater China Director, The Climate Group, discusses China’s path to a low-carbon future, highlighting green stimulus for low carbon prosperity, emerging trends to form the foundation for transformation, and overcoming barriers to achieve transformation.
