UNFCCC Secretariat Publishes SBSTA 30 Documents

© UNFCCC5 August 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a report (FCCC/SBSTA/2009/3) of the 30th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), which was held in Bonn, Germany, from 1-10 June 2009.

The report contains sections on inter alia: the Nairobi work programme on impacts, vulnerability and adaptation to climate change; development and transfer of technologies; reducing emissions from deforestation in developing countries: approaches to stimulate action; research and systematic observation; methodological issues under the Convention; methodological issues under the Kyoto Protocol; matters relating to article 2, paragraph 3, of the Kyoto Protocol; and cooperation with relevant international organizations.
The UNFCCC Secretariat has also published an addendum (FCCC/SBSTA/2009/3/Add.1) to the report, which contains draft decisions forwarded for adoption by the Conference of the Parties at its 15th session. The draft decisions are on systematic climate observations, and updated training programme for greenhouse gas inventory review experts for the technical review of greenhouse gas inventories from parties included in Annex I to the Convention.
