5 August 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a report (FCCC/SBI/2009/8) of the 30th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), which took place from 1-10 June 2009, in Bonn, Germany.

The report contains sections on, inter alia: national communications from parties included in Annex I to the Convention: status report on the review of fourth national communications; national communications from parties not included in Annex I to the Convention; financial issues; matters relating to article 4, paragraphs 8 and 9, of the Convention; development and transfer of technologies; capacity-building under the Convention; capacity-building under the Kyoto Protocol; reporting and review of information submitted by parties included in Annex I to the Convention that are also parties to the Kyoto Protocol; matters relating to article 3, paragraph 14, of the Kyoto Protocol; amendment of the Kyoto Protocol in respect of procedures and mechanisms relating to compliance; arrangements for intergovernmental meetings; and financial and institutional matters.
The UNFCCC Secretariat has also published an addendum (FCCC/SBI/2009/8/Add.1) to the report containing draft decisions forwarded for adoption by the Conference of the Parties (COP) and by the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP). The draft decisions address: the work of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from parties not included in Annex I to the Convention; programme budget for the biennium 2010–2011; Adaptation Fund; updated training programme for members of expert review teams participating in annual reviews under Article 8 of the Kyoto Protocol; and a COP/MOP decision on programme budget for the biennium 2010-2011.
