UNFCCC18 November 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report (FCCC/SBI/2009/13) of the 16th meeting of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 24-26 September 2009.
The report includes a summary of the status of preparation and implementation of national adaptation programmes of action (NAPAs), as provided by the Secretariat of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) during the meeting, and a summary of discussions on an approach to the assessment of the least developed countries work programme and support needed to fully implement NAPAs. The annexes contain, inter alia: recommendations to least developed country parties on updating priorities in NAPAs and on revising projects and project profiles; and an updated priority activities of the work programme of the LEG for 2010. The report will be considered by the SBI at its 31st session, to be held from 7-18 December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark. [The Meeting Report]
