21 October 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a document (FCCC/SBI/2009/INF.11) on information on financial support provided by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for the preparation of national communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention.

The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), at its thirtieth session, invited the GEF to continue to provide information on its activities relating to the preparation of national communications by parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non-Annex I Parties), including information on the dates of approval of funding and disbursement of funds, for consideration by the SBI. The annex contained in this document provides details of the status of enabling activity projects, including preparation of the initial, second and subsequent national communications of non-Annex I Parties and the dates of approval and disbursement of funds.
