UNFCCC Secretariat Announces Publication of a JI Project Design Document

September 2009: The project design document (PDD) for the joint implementation (JI) project “Reconstruction of the OJSC ‘Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works’ blast furnaces #5 and #6, Russian Federation” has been submitted to the UNFCCC Secretariat by an accredited independent entity.

The PDD is open to comments by interested stakeholders until 3 October 2009. This is pursuant to decision 9/CMP.1 (JI guidelines), which requires that under the JI Track 2 procedure, PDDs are to be made publicly available by accredited independent entities through the UNFCCC Secretariat for comments from Parties, stakeholders and UNFCCC accredited observers.
