9 April 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released submissions by parties and relevant organizations on approaches to and experiences in integrating and expanding adaptation planning and action at national, subnational, community and local levels, and lessons learned, good practices, gaps, needs, and barriers and constraints to adaptation (FCCC/SBSTA/2009/MISC.4).

The submissions, which were received from Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic on behalf of the European Community, Japan, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and Practical Action, will be examined by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) at its 30th session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 1-10 June 2009.
