UNFCCC Releases Report of the Activities of the Technology Executive Committee

The report of the activities and performance of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) for 2011 details: the nomination of members and election of officers for the TEC; the elaboration of TEC modalities and procedures; and the initial discussion of the 2012-2013 rolling workplan of the TEC.

UNFCCC30 September 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a note summarizing the activities and performance of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) for 2011 (FCCC/SB/2011/2). The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) may wish to take note of the report and consider any further action, as appropriate.

The report was prepared in response to the decision by the Conference of the Parties (COP) that the TEC should report to the COP on its activities and the performance of its functions. The report contains information on the activities and performance of the TEC for 2011, including its first meeting, held on 1-3 September in Bonn, Germany. The activities reported in the note include: the nomination of members and election of officers for the TEC; the elaboration of TEC modalities and procedures; and the initial discussion of the 2012-2013 rolling workplan of the TEC.
