UNFCCC Releases Parties’ Views on a Workplan for the AWG-DPA

The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions from 12 Parties containing their views on a workplan for the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (AWG-DPA).

The submissions will be considered by the AWG-DPA at its first session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 17–24 May 2012.

30 April 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the submissions from 12 Parties containing their views on a workplan for the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (AWG-DPA) (FCCC/ADP/2012/MISC.3).

At its 17th session, the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) decided that the AWG-DPA shall plan its work in the first half of 2012, including, inter alia, on mitigation, adaptation, finance, technology development and transfer, transparency of action and support, and capacity building, drawing upon submissions from Parties and relevant technical, social and economic information and expertise (decision 1/CP.17, para. 5). The 12 submissions received are from: Argentina; Bolivia; Brazil; China; Denmark and the European Commission, on behalf of the EU; Honduras; India; Japan; the Russian Federation; Switzerland, on behalf of the Environmental Integrity Group; the US; and Uzbekistan.

The submissions will be considered by the AWG-DPA at its first session, scheduled to take place in Bonn, Germany, from 17–24 May 2012. [The Submissions]
