The UNFCCC released an addendum to the report of the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The Annex indicates that India, Indonesia, China and Mexico received approval for resources to support the preparation of biennial update reports (BUR) and notes that the UN Development Programme (UNDP) is providing this support.
21 November 2012: The UNFCCC released an addendum to the report of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) (FCCC/CP/2012/6/Add.2). It provides information on the resource status approved for non-Annex I Parties to prepare biennial update reports (BUR).
The Annex indicates that India, Indonesia, China and Mexico received approval for resources to support BUR preparation. The four countries are currently preparing their full project proposals. The UN Development Programme (UNDP) is providing this support.
At its 36th session, the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 36) invited the GEF to provide information on GEF activities relating to BUR preparation in its report to the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 18). [Addendum to the GEF report]
