19 March 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report on the further development of CC:iNet (FCCC/SBI/2012/4). The climate change information network clearing house (CC:iNet) was launched in December 2010 to facilitate the implementation of the amended New Delhi work programme on Article 6 of the Convention (on education, training and public awareness).

The report reviews the current status of CC:iNet development and promotion, as well as the scope of the database and number of users. It outlines the results of the CC:iNet user survey carried out in January and February 2012, and summarizes proposed improvements. The report further synthesizes improvements proposed by Parties and other users, and concludes with a synthesis of recommendations for the further development and promotion of CC:iNet. The report will be considered by the 36th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 36), which will take place in Bonn, Germany, from 14–25 May 2012.
