5 August 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has also published, in addition to the three submissions contained in document (FCCC/KP/AWG/2009/MISC.14), two submissions from parties (FCCC/KP/AWG/2009/MISC.14/Add.1) on further views and proposals relating to a proposal for amendments to the Kyoto Protocol pursuant to its Article 3, paragraph 9, and a text on other issues outlined in document FCCC/KP/AWG/2008/8. The submissions are from Sri Lanka and Sweden on behalf of the EU.
The submissions will be considered by the Ad hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) at its ninth session in Bangkok, Thailand, from 28 September- 9 October 2009, and during the resumed ninth session in Barcelona, Spain, from 2-6 November 2009.
