UNFCCC Receives Observer Submissions on Bali Action Plan

The UNFCCC Secretariat has received submissions containing ideas and proposals on the elements contained in paragraph 1 of the Bali Action Plan from: Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES); International Maritime Organization (IMO); UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD); IBON Foundation Inc.; Mediators Beyond Borders International; and WWF International.

27 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a document containing a list of the admitted observer organizations that have submitted ideas and proposals on the elements contained in paragraph 1 of the Bali Action Plan (full, effective and sustained implementation of the Convention through long-term cooperative action) (FCCC/AWGLCA/2011/MISC.10).

The submissions were made in response to the invitation by the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) that parties and accredited observer organizations should provide additional information, views and proposals on paragraph 1 of the Bali Action Plan, as may be required for each session. The Secretariat has received submissions from the following six admitted observer organizations: Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES); International Maritime Organization (IMO); UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD); IBON Foundation Inc.; Mediators Beyond Borders International; and WWF International.
