UNFCCC Publishes Views on Materiality Standard Under the CDM

The UNFCCC Secretariat has published submissions received from Japan, Pakistan, the EU and the World Bank on issues relating to the materiality standard under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

1 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published submissions by parties and observer organizations on the materiality standard under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) (FCCC/SBSTA/2011/MISC.13).

The submissions were published in response to the invitation by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) for parties, intergovernmental organizations, admitted observer organizations and designated operational entities to submit to the Secretariat their views on issues relating to the materiality standard under the CDM. The Secretariat has received three submissions from the following parties: Japan, Pakistan and the EU. It has also received one submission from an international organization, namely the World Bank. These submissions are contained in this document. In addition, the Secretariat has also received two submissions from an admitted observer organization and another organization and, in line with established practice, has posted these submissions on the UNFCCC website.
