11 May 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a document synthesizing the views on the areas of focus set out in section IV of the terms of reference for the review and assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of Article 4, paragraphs 1(c) and 5, of the Convention (technology transfer) specified in 11 submissions received from: Australia, Belarus, Belize, Canada, Colombia, the Czech Republic on behalf of the European Community (EC) and its member States, Grenada on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), Kazakhstan, Japan, Panama on behalf of Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan (FCCC/SBI/2010/INF.6).

Submissions from accredited NGOs have been posted on the UNFCCC website. The synthesis will be considered by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) at its 32nd session, which will take place in Bonn, Germany, from 31 May-9 June 2010, during its deliberations on the review and assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of Article 4, paragraphs 1(c) and 5, of the UNFCCC.
